Service Description

Bird Dog Boot Camp (BDBC) at Wirehaven Kennels is a 3-day, experience-driven upland exposure program designed to build, refresh, or re-ignite a dog’s natural hunting ability. This service is ideal for young dogs starting out, veteran dogs needing a pre-season tune-up, or older dogs benefiting from light field work and bird contact. Dogs receive structured upland exposure focused on confidence, drive, search, and natural hunting behavior using real cover and realistic scenarios. When appropriate and with owner approval, light, ethical e-collar conditioning may be incorporated to reinforce recall and control in the field. BDBC is conducted through planned daily sessions only. Dogs may be dropped off or pickup arranged and are returned the same day. No overnight boarding is provided. Bird exposure is subject to all state and federal regulations and may be adjusted based on season and conditions. Dogs are treated like family, with welfare and ethics always prioritized.
